Poor credit: Is Australia letting firms pump natural gas too cheaply?

A study by the International Transport Workers’ Federation found that Governments of rival exporters, such as Qatar, Malaysia and Nigeria, received two or three times as much revenue as Australia’s in 2014 as a proportion of the value of the gas produced. That is down to the remarkably generous design of the PRRT tax.
